About ISC2 Eastern Massachusetts
Advancing cybersecurity through community, learning, and leadership
Connect. Learn. Contribute.
ISC2 Eastern Massachusetts is a local chapter dedicated to bringing together cybersecurity professionals, practitioners, students, and aspiring leaders across the region. Our chapter provides a place to connect with peers, exchange ideas, stay current on security topics and trends, and contribute to the growth of the profession in our local community. ISC2 describes chapters as a way for members and other information security professionals to build local networks, share knowledge, collaborate, and earn CPEs through chapter activities.
Our Purpose
Cybersecurity is a global challenge, but professional relationships and community impact often begin locally. ISC2 Eastern Massachusetts exists to strengthen the cybersecurity community in Eastern Massachusetts by creating opportunities for education, collaboration, volunteerism, and professional development. ISC2 says its chapter program helps members and non-members connect with like-minded professionals, educate on security topics and trends, inspire others to pursue the profession, and promote cybersecurity awareness to the public.
What Members Gain
Being part of ISC2 Eastern Massachusetts offers practical and professional value. Members and participants can:
- build a strong local network of cybersecurity peers
- learn from presentations and discussions on current security topics
- exchange ideas and resources with professionals across disciplines
- earn CPEs through qualifying chapter activities and events
- explore leadership and volunteer opportunities
- support community outreach and cybersecurity awareness efforts
- contribute ideas for future events and chapter programming
Our Community
Our chapter is built for people who want to engage with cybersecurity locally — including ISC2-certified professionals, practitioners in related roles, students, career changers, and others interested in advancing cybersecurity knowledge and practice. ISC2 chapter materials describe chapters as communities made up of both members and non-members who are interested in the profession and in supporting a safer cyber world.
How We Contribute
ISC2 Eastern Massachusetts supports the profession not only through events and networking, but also through service and leadership. We encourage members to speak, volunteer, help shape chapter programming, and take part in activities that strengthen the local cybersecurity community. ISC2’s volunteer materials emphasize that volunteer service helps advance its vision of a safe and secure cyber world and gives professionals a way to share expertise, connect with peers, and make a local impact.
